Our story

Fifty years ago in Colombia, a group of dream friends joined together to create a small company called icobandas s.a. His vision was simple but powerful: manufacture the best Conveyor Belts Market. As the years passed, this dream continued to grow to become a great company thanks to the quality of our products and the continued transfer of European and American technologies.

Safety, health at work and environment

icobandas s.a. is a company dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions in transporters for the management of materials, by the production and marketing of Conveyor Belts, Belts for transmission, services and other complementary products. In line with this activity the organization undertakes to structure, maintain and continuously improve the System of Safety and Health Management at Work and the Environment - SG-SSTA, through the identification of hazards, assessment and risk control of environmental aspects and impacts.

The company ensures compliance with the existing legal regulations and requirements applicable to its economic activity, with a view to meeting the needs of customers and other stakeholders, with adequate infrastructure, promoting the active participation and ongoing consultation of its staff, promoting motivation, commitment, and a culture aimed at the prevention, control and minimization of environmental risks and impacts, maximizing the safety, health and integrity of staff, direct, indirect and visitors.

Processing of personal data

icobandas s.a. has decided to adopt on a voluntary basis the conditions of organisation, obligations of those involved and involved in the processing and use of personal information, operating arrangements, and procedures applicable to the processing of personal data that in the conduct of their own functions have to request, store, correct, give up or delete.

This has been resolved, in order to comply with the provisions of the Colombian Constitution and Law 1581 of 2012, as well as the other rules that regulate and complement the treatment for the protection of personal data in Colombia.

icobandas s.a. is committed to the full implementation of the rules for the combat and prevention of national and transnational bribery, as provided for in Law 1778 of 2016, which set out the rules on the liability of legal persons for acts of transnational corruption and in Resolution 100-006261 of 2020 issued by the Superintendency of Companies and with effect from 1 January 2021 establishing parameters for the liability of legal persons for acts of transnational corruption and in which companies controlled by the Superintendency of Societies which in the immediate calendar year have carried out international business or transactions of any nature, directly or through an intermediary, a contractor or a national or a national legal or national or international legal right of more than a minimum of 100 persons and / or a monthly legal right of a national and / non-national or non-national right, shall have been required to take up to a minimum legal and / or non-national legal income.

SAGRILAFT

icobandas s.a.in compliance with the provisions of External Circular 100-000016 of 24 December 2020, issued by the Superintendency of Societies, and other consistent standards, adopts and maintains the System of Self-Control and Risk Management of Asset Laundering, Financing of Terrorism and Financing of the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (SAGRILAFT). The Company recognizes that the risks associated with the laundering of assets, the financing of terrorism and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction pose a threat to the society, the economy and the integrity of organizations, and therefore directs its efforts to their prevention, detection, control and timely reporting.

Human rights policy

icobandas s.a. states and reaffirms its commitment to respect, promotion and protection of human rights, recognizing them as a fundamental pillar of their business management, sustainability and responsible relationship with interest groups.

The Company bases this policy on the principles enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenants on Civil and Political Rights, and on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the eight Fundamental Conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the ILO Convention 169, as well as the principles set out in the Colombian Political Constitution, national laws and international treaties ratified by the Colombian State.

Policy against sexual harassment

icobandas s.a. recognizes the importance of promoting safe, respectful and free working environments for all forms of violence. In compliance with the existing legal norms and in consistency with our corporate values of respect, honesty, prudence and reliability, Icobandas s.a. expressly, categorically and absolutely rejects any form of sexual harassment in the context of work, regardless of who the victim or offender is, its gender, sexual orientation, personal status or hierarchical rank.

Channels for complaints

The company makes available to the different interest groups, confidential and safe channels to report any situation of occupational harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination and other improper conduct.
